20 Mar Snoring Therapy
Snoring is caused by turbulence of air inside the upper airway during inspiration. This turbulence of air is caused by a partial blockage to the air passage because the muscles that support the airway and the surrounding tissues are lax.
Snoring occurs mainly during sleep because our muscle tone is most reduced during sleep and there is insufficient muscle tone to maintain the patency of the airway. Patients with severe snoring may wake up feeling lethargic. Not to mention their partners as well.
At Anna Hoo Clinic, we can help you to combat that snoring problem by tighten the intra-oral mucosa. This is achieved by Nightlase laser that tightens the uvula, soft palate and surrounding tissues with laser beam.
Understandably, prior consultation with the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Specialist to ensure that Intra-oral mucosa and muscle tone laxity is the main cause of snoring instead of other more serious diseases, is recommended.
Have that snoring problem that causes either you or your partner to have poor quality sleep? Feel free to fix an appointment with us.
